BEGINNING
Designed for beginning students, those returning to yoga, and
those who want a gentler approach. Emphasized instruction on
the basics of poses, breathing, yoga fundamentals, and relaxation
of the body and mind..
COMMUNITY CLASS
All Levels donation class. Suggested donation $10 cash.
(students may not use class cards)
DEPTH YOGA
For people with practices and bodies in transition for whatever reason—injury, over-training, periods of personal challenge, aging. It focuses on exploring a full vocabulary of active stretches and strength poses at a deliberate pace that allows individuals to investigate alignment—and realignment. Students work at the energy-building intensity of their choice...a class for ALL levels.
FLOW
[Vinyasa]
A mixed level class with emphasis on using salutations to link
postures together and focus on synchronizing movement with breath.
KIDS
YOGA
Children will learn the amazing art of yoga in a safe, creative
environment while having fun.
LEVEL
ONE
A class for ongoing and strong beginners looking to challenge
themselves. Emphasized instruction for sequencing together of
poses, transitions between postures and basics of the salutation
practice.
MIXED LEVELS
For intermediate students with solid understanding of postures.
Instructors give options for taking the postures up or down
a notch. Students must know their physical limitations. Emphasis
on longer holds, more complex sequencing, salutations, and basics
of inversions.
MOMMY AND ME
A mixed levels class where new moms and those with toddlers can return to their yoga practice in a supportive and fun environment. Infants and toddlers up to three years old welcome. And dads too!
PRE-NATAL
A beginning level yoga class with supplementary instruction
on safe, nurturing, pre-natal self care.
SENIOR/THERAPEUTIC
A gentle, slow paced and very personalized yoga class with emphasis on working with physical limitations and restrictions. This class is perfect for seniors, students with chronic pain and those recovering from injury.
SLOW
DEEP STRETCH
Yin style yoga with long holds to facilitate deep release and
increase flexibility.
YOGA FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN
A fun and playful class designed specifically for children with special needs. It will improve strength, flexibility, focus, confidence, motor coordination and body awareness as well as connection to self and others. It is designed for children with a variety of diagnoses including Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, Attention Deficit Disorder, ADHD, Learning Disabilities as well as other developmental disabilities. It is also for children without a formal diagnosis who are having difficulties with sensory processing and/or attention to tasks as well as follow through and task completion. Each session will be specifically guided to benefit each child. The material is based on Yoga for the Special Child (the Sonia Sumar method - www.specialyoga.com)
Specialized breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to improve concentration and reduce hyperactivity are incorporated into every class. This class is for children under 10 years of age.
